M Rides

Since this blog is "M&A," and a little too much air time is given to the "A," I have been meaning to post some pictures of Matt and Friends' ride around Lake Michigan. They left on Labor Day and got back some 11 or so days later, with sore tailbones, achilles tendons, some scratches and dents from minor bike crashes, and, in M's case, an inability to feel his ring and pinkie fingers on his left hand. (Weird) Their goal was to raise $5000 to help fund a technology makeover in a 5th grade classroom in the Southside. They ended up raising over $6000! People were so generous in their donations and M really loved being a part of the ride.

These pictures are totally out of order and I'm not switching them.

M - when he got home from the ride. Almost two weeks of beard and very sweaty. Yuck.
Waiting to cross Lake Michigan on the ferry to get the Upper Peninsula.
They stayed with my brother and sister-in-law in MI. What I think is really amazing is the Bree would stand even remotely close to them long enough for a picture to be taken. I can't imagine how that room smelled (I really don't like sweaty men).
The morning that they left from Buckingham Fountain. Still feeling good. One day later, I think they were wondering what they got themselves into. But, the riding got easier and they finished with no problem.
They're already talking about doing it again! Crazies.
