Utah and Babies

Last weekend my brother-in-law, Matt, arranged for me to surprise my sister in Utah for her birthday and baby shower. It was such a fun weekend!

I surprised her at a restaurant and we were very excited to see each other! Notice: large belly on small sister.

I made this baby quilt with my mom last month for my almost-here niece. I am proud to say that I did all of the sewing myself, but my mom was watching carefully the entire time. Aside from a few very frustrating moments, I think I sort of had fun! This baby better love her aunt's first sewing project.

Cute, right? (The white on the opposite side is fleece -- super soft.)

I am also impressed and jealous. I don't have the talent or patience. You are a good woman. P.S. Mom has lived in Chicago all these years, and I never knew they dyed the river green. Humph!

Are you really thinking about moving from Chicago? Didn't we just get here?! Wow. It feels like yesterday I was in your apartment eating goodies feeling like I didn't know anybody! That was a fun night...
