I have a camera!!!

For Christmas, Matt gave me my very own teeny tiny camera. You will now see more pictures on this blog, though I can't promise more posts. Blogging is apparently not really my thing. I keep thinking to myself that I will do all these great and amazing things (does blogging really qualify under that category?) once I stop working and stay at home with my kids, but I don't know if I'll be any less busy or any more motivated. Stay tuned for the next 5 years. We'll see.

Hello, tangent! The purpose of this post is tell you about our swell Christmas break!

We stayed at Matt's parents' house and ate a lot (among other things)...

We went to several family parties, none of which I have picutres. Whoops.

My mom and my sister and I made a failed gingerbread train, which is one of our traditions. Not the failed part. The failed part is quite unusual; we had an off year.

We played Ticket to Ride lots of times with lots of people, including my 92 year old Grandpa, who whooped us.

We found these fun used-to-live Chicago friends. We miss you!

And I spent the afternoon with my favorite Alisa. We didn't take a picture, so I'm including one of us from DC this summer.

I returned to Chicago and started school. Matt has been my secretary this past week, getting all the things done that I didn't. Let's hear for husbands who don't work and are still on their break from school. Woo-hoo!

Ok, first I love the pic of you all doing rock star or whatever that game is...very funny. Second, this made me remember when I was working and I thought "I can't wait until I have kids and stay at home. I'm going to do all these projects and I'll be so organized and my house will be clean all the time and it will be wonderful." It didn't quite end up as neat as it was in my head. :) But my kids sure are cute. (sorry, was that too debby downer??)
