Feeling Thankful and Such

Quick picture post:

This is my most adorable nephew. One of his favorite activities is to stare out the window. And one of ours is to watch him do it.

Dinner was at our tiny apartment this year. Don't mind the messy mess in the background. There's not a lot of room, okay?

This is the Lemond parking lot. All the boys went for a long ride and their bikes became friends in our hallway.

At Christkindlemart with Mom downtown.

Outside of the huge Macys with the awesome display windows. Every time I'm even around that department store, I like to imagine that I'm one of those ladies who used to dress up to go shopping and make a whole day of it. It would have to be in the 1950s, of course, and my husband would come home always in a suit, wearing a cool fedora-looking hat (not looking like a gangster, though). And I would don pearls and and wear dresses with huge skirts and leave carrying a zillion bags. Those were the days...

Fun fact: did you know that retail sales is the lowest it has been in 35 years? Now, there's something to be grateful for!

Actually, you would not leave carrying bunches of bags--you would have asked to have it delivered. You would have shopped all day and not have to carry a single thing!
