Having lived in Ohio for longer than any other place in my life, it seems odd that I finally make it to Cedar Point after having not lived in Ohio for seven years. Better late than never -- and it was an awesome weekend!
We drove up with Tyson and Kelli. Tyson forced us to go on the scariest ride first... the Dragster something something. This thing goes 125 mph - straight up and straight back down. I think the entire ride is less than 15 seconds. It scared the crap out of me, but I'm happy to report that I kept my eyes open the entire time.
I love this picture -- Matt is the second person from the right. He is hanging on so tight to the seat. This is when our seats were heading straight toward the concrete. You can tell how brave I was feeling with my singular arm raised.
This picture was taken right after Maverick -- a sweet ride.
We also had plenty of time to hang out. We were so tired after our day at the park. This picture is in rememberance of Friendly's - the best ice cream place in the midwest. Actually, no, Graeter's in Cincinnati is better, but it was fun to see a Friendly's to remind me of home.

Oh the joys of feeling young again..or maybe not so young, were we completely and totally exhausted after this. YES! Never too tired for Friendly's though!
I used to be able to handle those big scary roller coasters. But, sadly in my older age I now get sick riding them. And, I so far have preferred avoiding them rather than puking after the thrill.
I love Friendly's and roller coasters, sounds like a great time.
Graeters is good, really good. But my heart aches for UDF. I loved United Dairy Farmers milk shakes!!
i lived in the midwest for 10 years (4 outside of chicago) and i've never been to nauvoo.
Alissa--
That is still so crazy to me that you know Tyson and Kelli. David was really good friends with both of them at BYU. fun connection!
