We borrowed a turkey fryer for the event (which made some really good turkey), and I have never seen such interest by the male species for anything food related before. All four of them were into every detail - the time, the smoke, the brine, the blackness, I don't even know what else, but their level off attention to this bird was really funny to me.
The big reveal. I was a little worried about them starting a fire in my back yard. They didn't.
Our Thanksgiving table, with my rarely-used china. I have to say - I'm still proud of my 21-year old self for picking out this one.
We ate our dinner in peace since most of the toddlers were still sleeping. It was a lovely meal - all homemade goodness.
After clean up, we threw the toddlers in the tub. Not sure if they came out cleaner than they went in, but they sure are cute.
Thanks for coming, guys! We want to do it again and again, if only some people didn't have to move to CA!
