The gals gathered in our (newly redone by Matt - except for the blinds, which is, of course, the only thing you can see in this picture) bathroom for some extra curling, frizzing and teasing, and lipstick applying. I do love getting ready with a bunch of girls.

Party Like It's 1981
When we realized that Cassi and Andrea would both be turning 30 this fall, Katie and I knew we must throw a party to celebrate the decade of their birth. It turned out we picked the worst Saturday ever because a lot of folks couldn't come, but we had a blast with our small group.

No party post of mine would be complete without some shots of the decor:

The birthday girls! The cutest 30 year olds I've ever seen. Love you, Cassi and Andrea!

We played a heated game of 80s trivia, John gave us a bona-fide Michael Jackson performance, we jammed to 80s music, and ate a lot of food (mostly 80s-inspired, including TAB and Mello Yellow). A pretty awesome night, though I am so, so glad that I do not regularly put that much hairspray in my hair or red stuff on my lips!
