The whirlwind

We decided to move to Rochester in the last week of June or so, but we already had our vacations planned starting in the second week of July. I packed a lot of the apartment before Tate and I left to hang out with Summer and Maren for the week!
Cuties in the wagon on the way to the pool.
We also met up with these fun Chicago folks...
and then went to the Ben Folds concert in Park City.
And then we headed to Great Basin National Park where we camped for 5 days. Indeed, I camped - with an 8 month old - for 5 days. We had a great time relaxing and hiking and Tate even took his naps and slept through the night.

Loving the hiking backpack - especially since Tate would nap in it!
Staying warm in the morning time.

And then Matt's sister Tori got married to Nathan in the Draper Temple.

This is when the fun really started... We left Utah on Thursday and planned to pack the truck on Thursday evening. We called BUDGET RENTAL, who told us that they did not have a truck, in spite of our reservation made three weeks previous. We called around trying to get a truck to no avail (which is why we went over our cell phone minutes this month!) and were finally able to get one on Friday morning. Bless all of you who helped us - or tried to help us on Thursday evening. After other mishaps that make the move our worst on record, we were in northern Michigan by Sunday for my family vacation.

Glad you enjoyed your summer and your camping trip. That backpack is the best for camping with a baby. What a cute family you have.
