Autumn Time

I mourn the loss of summer each year, but it's made a little easier by apple orchards, crisp air, leaves, and pumpkin cookies, which I just made.

We roasted tinfoil dinners and s'mores with friends one evening that felt like ushering in fall. Baby Nina and Baby Jake are about 6 weeks apart -- this is their first of many photos, I'm sure. Tate and Avery had to jump in, too.

Summer came down with Maren and Christian and we hit the apple orchard on a 75+ degree day. It didn't feel so cool, but the apples were delicious as ever.

With friends at a different apple orchard (that, ironically, has no apples for sale since the frost destroyed a lot of the apple crops).

This abundance is in our very own back yard, and shows no sign of slowing down. We bought a leaf blower. :)
