Visitors!

This is the fall of visitors and visiting, so this is the first of many posts in that vein.

The Gardners came to visit us in September and we celebrated Geoff's birthday the night they got there (they are holding up the number of fingers of his age). We ate delicious (if I do say so myself) cake.
We love the apple orchard, so of course had to introduce them to it. Here is everyone in the corn maze.
I'm sort of paranoid about choking hazards, so I never give Tate apples. I suppose he can handle it, though, because he picked this one off the tree and ate the entire thing -- without choking.
And we went to Oxbow Park, including a beautiful little hike. Tate by the way, walked almost the entire thing, until the very end when he asked for a ride.
We did a little cook out at Oxbow and Tate had a very messy diaper and I, of course, did not have a change of clothes. We had to take off all of his clothes (it was really cold outside) and put Matt's nasty "campfire" sweatshirt on him.
We also hit up the National Eagle Center, enjoyed the view of the Mississippi, a few went to the Spam Museum, and did the Mayo Clinic tour. See, guys? There's (a little bit of) stuff to do in Rochester! Come visit!

And, Alisa and Owen came to visit us for the day. The boys ate apples and played, while Alisa and I chatted and made cookies.

Yay! I'm so happy we live as close as we do! We've seen each other 4 times in the last 6 months! Who-da-thunk?!

So glad to know that Tate is becoming the apple connoisseur his mom is. Did you show him where to put the sticker?
