Matt builds stuff
One of Matt's many talents is that he is quite an accomplished designer and builder of furniture. Some of you may know that our dresser, while a gorgeous piece of furniture, was responsible for almost breaking our engagement (okay, not really...but for real, I wouldn't have minded if that thing didn't exist during that time). I always seem to have a love/hate relationship with his projects. Love: they are really beautiful, customized-to-us pieces of furniture; Hate: they take forever and I get annoyed with waiting and not being able to park my car in the garage. I know what you're thinking -- just go ahead and say it -- I'm a total brat.

The slatted doors slide and reveal our stereo, cable box, dvd player, etc.

this is gor-geous. I have given up on my dream of Greg becoming a wood worker and making me this kind of stuff. Instead - I'll just admire your stuff.

This is BEAUTIFUL! I'm jealous.
Wow...really impressive! A man of many talents.
I love reading about what you're up to and just what's on your mind generally. And I love Chicago, too:)
Alissa, I'm so impressed by your husband's skills. I just caught up on all of the updates. I had no idea you were the class president. I remember seeing Turpin people put updates and invites on Facebook. How cool that you pulled it off and it's done. And it's great to see pics of your family and the Thomas's. It's wonderful that you guys are so close. Anyway, take care.
Um, please tell Matt he can use up all of our garage space he wants if he will build us furniture like that. One skill I would love to acquire!
