I'm not much of a TV watcher, but I watched "So You Think You Can Dance" pretty religiously over the summer (thanks to Trish and Steph since I refuse to get cable!). After watching the finale at my friend Steph's house in August, we girls decided that we wanted to see the tour when it came to Chicago. Unfortunately the show sold out very quickly and my measly one-income-for-two-people budget couldn't hack the $150 the tickets were going for.
On the day of the show, Steph emailed people on Craig's List with offers for two tickets for $60. Some one took us up on them and we got great seats! The show was incredible. The audience was lots of girls, some men looking as if they'd really like to watch the Bulls game at the United Center instead of some dance show, and lots of washed up dancers like me, harkening back to our younger, thinner, and in better shape years. Steph and I had so much fun, screaming like little girls -- especially when cute Danny or Neil were on stage.

To the right is the "Heaven" dance by Mia Michaels, another favorite. Lacey was hurt and didn't dance very much in the show, but she did do this number. It was really beautiful. The entire cast started it and then Neil and Lacey finished.
Okay, I'm not going to bore you with the rest of the commentary, but this has definitely inspired me to start dancing again. I really loved doing it when I was younger and am ready to get my dancing shoes on again!

That sounds so fun! Isn't it great to live in a big city where you get the opportunity to see such cool things?
You always were a dance lover. Didn't you take a dance class in London even? So, super excited to get to see you at Thanksgiving and so is Ash! (YEA)!!!
I love to dance. Does Matt like to dance? Trev hates it, and because of that I miss it oh so much!

my sister the dancer got me into so you think you can dance some last summer, and it gave me a whole new understanding of the dance world. it also underscored the truth that i will never be able to dance as well as you, my sister, or the people on the show:)
