I just wanted to let you all know that today was the first day of teaching 6th and 7th graders. They were very darling and...small.
My only issue was that I HAVE NO VOICE!! I got a really bad cold over the weekend and the voice thing (or lack thereof) stuck around long enough for my first day of school. I had to stomp my foot to get their attention and they had to listen super hard. I wish I could record my voice for you all to hear it, but Summer, Matt, and Amber all laughed when they heard me on the phone. I sound like a 13 year old kid with all of my cracking. I feel like the sea urchin Ursula took away my voice (I, of course, am beautiful, red-headed Ariel).
Neigh.

You too?! I haven't lost my voice yet, but I'm all stuffed up! What luck for the first day of school. Hope you get and feel better soon.

Ha ha! Good Luck! I am sure those kiddos love you anyways! PS I am in love with Mac & Cheese if you ever need a buddy when our hubby's are at school!
a harse is a harse of course of course.
Good luck with the new school year. Here's hoping you get your voice back! Annalise and I were just talking about you and how we think you are the cutest and best dressed teacher we know!
Hi Aliss!!!!! You're teaching 6th and 7th graders?!!!! That's a little closer to my kids!! That's weird to think because part of my student teaching was with 6th graders. I want to hear about it!!! Even though I haven't called you, I HAVE been thinking a lot about you, wondering how your new class is doing. Love you!
